Children ages 6 to 11 are invited to attend a one week, half-day summer camp. Each child will have the option of two classes in the areas of dance, sign language, movement, and puppetry. They will learn two performances and then have an opportunity to show them to parents on Friday evening, July 12th. Please see the descriptions below for each type of class.
- SIGN LANGUAGE: American Sign Language to worship and enhance songs for the Deaf Community and others.
- DANCE: Steps from several different dance styles including lyrical, hip hop, modern, and ballet.
- MOVEMENT: Props and stylized movements to tell a story set to music or spoken words.
- PUPPETRY: Puppets and props tell a story with lip syncing and synchronized motions.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THESE AREAS IS NECESSARY.
